Keeping hydraulic systems in optimal operating condition is one of the ways to obtain a high productivity and minimum energy consumption. However, even in situations where hydraulic components suffer damage, fast and accurate diagnosis will reduce losses. The article presents the most common diagnostic methods used in hydraulic systems, as well as some guidelines for the interpretation of the first signs of abnormal operation: increased noise and temperature.
