CaGa2S4:Ce crystallites were synthesized by the mechanochemical reaction of CaS, Ga2S3, and Ce2S3 source powders. The growth process was studied by observing X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and Raman scattering spectra of the synthesized powder as a parameter of reaction time. Ce doping of CaGa2S4 was studied in terms of its photoluminescence (PL). The approximate crystallite size calculated by a Williamson–Hall plot was 59 (+5, -3) nm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
