مستخلص: |
This paper utilizes data on Chinese industrial firms to study the impact of corporate financing constraints on export product quality under the perspective of dual institutional differences. The results show that, after controlling for possible endogeneity problems, firm financing constraints impede export product quality improvement. However, a sound domestic market system and a closer institutional distance to the exporting country mitigate the dampening effect of financing constraints on export product quality. These findings provide implications for firms to adjust export strategies and improve export product quality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
