Abstract (English): |
Purpose: As we enter a super-aging society, attention is being paid to senile menopausal disorders and premature menopausal disorders caused by stress. In this modern society, a drop in body temperature is becoming a serious issue as a basic factor in preventing these disorders. This study scientifically examined the mechanism by which non-invasive full-body bathing with carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and microbubbles increases body temperature and improves blood flow, thereby enhancing recovery by eliminating waste products from the body, thereby contributing to integrative medicine. Method: The study was conducted over a period of three months on 20 healthy adult men and women. In order to eliminate confounding factors, subjects were randomly selected from a total of 60 subjects, and 20 who volunteered were selected. Measurement items included body temperature, weight, BMI, etc., measured before and after bathing. The bath temperature was set to 40°C using a bath thermometer, and subjects were asked to measure their body temperature, weight, and BMI one hour after a meal before bathing. A carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and microbubble bath generator was used. Bathing time was 10 minutes, and body temperature, weight, and BMI were measured within 5 minutes after bathing. Other measurements such as blood flow measurements and physiological and biochemical data from blood tests were taken once a month. Results: A decrease in blood sugar levels was observed after three months of use, three times a week. Improvements in blood flow and increases in body temperature were evident over time. Improvements in liver function and a decrease in vascular age were evident after one to three months of use compared to before the experiment. Discussion: The stimulation of carbon dioxide and microbubbles caused vasodilatory effects, normalizing body temperature and improving blood flow. Furthermore, the radical scavenging effect of hydrogen is thought to have revealed antioxidant effects in the body. Rather than forcibly lowering normal values, this method improves only abnormal values and maintains internal homeostasis, making it a promising future bath therapy that is safe and without side effects.
