مستخلص: |
The European Commission has conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the EU antitrust enforcement framework to determine if updates are needed. The evaluation found that the current procedural rules have generally led to effective and efficient application of antitrust laws. However, there is a need for faster decision-making and improved coordination within the European Competition Network (ECN) to avoid unnecessary parallel investigations by multiple national competition authorities (NCAs). The report suggests that parallel antitrust enforcement is likely to increase, and proposes exploring coordinated actions by multiple NCAs as a more effective and efficient approach.
