This study focuses on the cultural distances between gaming tourists and service providers based on Hofstede’s culture model and aims to identify the correlation between cultural distances and various experience components. Online reviews of casino resorts in Macau are collected from TripAdvisor. Seven key experience categories in casino resorts and their correlations with cultural distances of six national cultural dimensions are revealed by combining the topic modeling method and correlation analysis. The significance of correlations is found to vary with distinct types of experience categories, which provides new insight into the convergence-divergence debate of culture in tourism studies.
