This paper presents an instrument to assess the value of Enterprise Architecture (EA) to an organization. The instrument builds on EA value items as described in the literature and consists of three questionnaires targeted at developers, implementers, and users of EA. By comparing the outcomes with the organization’s goals, gaps can be identified and recommendations made to optimize the extent to which the EA function is value-driven.
