The article explores the use of difference-in-difference estimators for continuous treatments without stayers. It explains that traditional estimators have limitations in dealing with varying treatment effects and nonlinearity. The authors propose new estimators that overcome these limitations and can be applied when there are no stayers. The article discusses the assumptions, parameters, and nonparametric identification and estimation. It concludes by addressing the challenges of placebo estimators in applications without stayers. The authors apply their approach to a study on the economic impacts of climate change on agricultural output and find robust treatment effects, although less significant.
