A study conducted with 2,400 employees at Novartis found that hearing about colleagues' struggles with mental health can normalize accessing support at work. The research suggests that stigma around mental health can prevent employees from seeking help, but simply hearing about others' experiences can increase the uptake of mental health resources by as much as 8%. The study also found that emphasizing the anonymity of support programs did not significantly increase participation. The findings highlight the power of storytelling and the need to create a supportive culture where sharing about mental health challenges is celebrated. [Extracted from the article] |
