The article details the operation of a patient with Marfan's syndrome using the bag-to-the-wall technique to suture intraocular lens (IOL). The procedure starts with a tear using a small, sharp, bent needle. Small sharp forceps are also used to complete the capsulorrhexis. Additional side ports are constructed to fixate the capsule through which two iris hooks are introduced. Following hydrodissection, the cataract is broken into pieces using a chop technique. The lens is settled cartridge after which it is inserted into the injector. |
