مستخلص: |
AbstractOil palm (Elaeis guineensis) is a significant global oil crop, contributing about 40% to the total global vegetable oil production, with Malaysia and Indonesia being major exporters in the international market. This study comprehensively assessed global research on oil palm pests and diseases using bibliometric analysis of data from Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. Based on article frequency (freq) from 1928 to 2023, Malaysia led global research on oil palm pests with 2,878 articles. Keyword trends analysis reveals red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus), bagworm (Metisa plana), and rhinoceros beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros) as emerging potential threats. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
