مستخلص: One of the most common methods of bonding metals used in a variety of industrial, marine, shipbuilding, automotive, construction, petrochemical, and other settings is metal arc welding (SMAW). The need for a sustainable welding process is increasing in the manufacturing sector. AISI 1017 light metal is used in enterprises to manufacture various additives. SMAW is one of the widely used arc welding processes. A variety of input and output flows are used in the SMAW process. Welding current control is critical in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) because it dictates how much heat is applied to a weld joint and how much welding time it takes to identify other forms of mechanical properties and geometry of the weld joint. This paper investigates the effect of welding parameters such as welding time, current, and welding speed on actual metal deposition rates and weld joint hardness. Experimental work was carried out on AISI 1017 low-carbon welded steel using an E6013 electrode with a diameter of 2.5 mm and a length of 300 mm. The current values were calculated from 49 amperes to 72 amperes. The measurements of the hardness values were calculated using a Vickers device and the amount of precipitated metal was calculated mathematically. The best free zone hardness was established at 112 HV at 49 amps current, and at HAZ it was 56.2 HV at 72 amps current. The maximum sedimentation rate was 0.147 (g/s) at a speed of 4.411 (mm/s).
