مستخلص: Two coordination polymers [(L1)Zn(pbtda)]n (1) and [(L1)Cd(H2O)(pbtda)]n (2), (L1 = bis(4-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)phenyl)methanone, H2pbtda = 2-phenylbutanedioic acid) are prepared under solvothermal conditions. They are characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography. Complex 2 forms a 1D chain, while complex 1 has a 2D structure of the {44·62} topology along the [1 0 –2] direction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
