The article presents the discussion on the potential of integrated approach of zinc fortification in maize. Topics include zinc deficiency in human nutrition being widespread after iron, vitamin A, and iodine deficiencies; and enhancing the availability of zinc from native soil reserves and rendering better availability to the plants and translocation towards the sink. |
