While acknowledging that God obviously sides with Borg's perspective as he suggests is personal, he emphasizes that God is not a "big per- that one should think about Jesus as simply a "parason in the sky", but a mysterious and loving presence ble of God." While Haight admits that God that exists which emphasizes God's immanence, but was present within Jesus in a unique and more intense God is also "totally other than" created reality, which way, this same God can also be more powerfully presallows for God's transcendence.
