مستخلص: Dielectric spectroscopy was used to analyze the relaxation behavior of an ether-ketone oligomer series. Results showed the relaxation behavior of the ether-ketone oligomer series, considered to be the model compounds of poly(ether-ketone-ketone), is different to that displayed by poly(aryl-ether-ketone-ketone) (PEKK) (50/50). It is asserted that this is because of the different chain length inter- and intramolecular correlations of the two types of compounds. In terms of cooperativity, the ether-ketone oligomers showed an almost similar relaxation behavior regardless of glass transition temperature (Tg). The PEKK showed a stronger cooperativity than the oligomers.
