الوصف: Navarro et al. present a culture-based approach to the degradation of industrial products and by-products by assessing >1,000 fungal strains. Using growth-assay-screening and a large sample of fungal phenotypes, they explore the functional differences across strains and species to demonstrate the potential of filamentous fungi in breaking down dyes and industrial by-products with lignocellulose and plastic bases.
