Left panel shows that at 100 trials the coefficient of variation of the amplitude of the 3.1 kHz peak reaches an asymptotic value (red segmented vertical line). Right panel illustrates the power spectrum of the data analyzing 1, 100 and 1000 trials, showing that a minimum of 100 trials is necessary for obtaining a reliable peak at 3.1 kHz. |
