| الوصف: | The purpose of the presented research was to analyze the most and least frequently used stress coping strategies (understood as situational coping) by mothers who have young children with visual impairments. The research method used was a diagnostic survey with the tool being the Multidimensional Inventory for the Measurement of Coping with Stress COPE by Ch.S. Carver, M.F. Scheier and J.W. Weintraub in the Polish adaptation by Z.J. Juczynski and N. Oginska-Bulik (2009). Thirty-seven mothers raising young children with visual impairments were studied. The study showed that the surveyed mothers with visually impaired children undergoing early development support most often use strategies based on problem solving, followed by seeking both institutional and emotional support. With these strategies, mothers of children with visual impairments become convinced that their actions are meaningful and effective and are geared toward solving problems rather than downplaying them. The least frequently used strategies are those that involve avoiding difficult situations, pushing back. Although the presented results show a tendency to use the most effective coping strategies, it would certainly be appropriate to provide mothers with the opportunity to participate in various trainings, workshops, parenting competence trainings, so that they can develop their knowledge, competence and skills, and cope with many unforeseen difficult situations. ; Celem zaprezentowanych badań była analiza najczęściej i najrzadziej stosowanych strategii radzenia sobie ze stresem (rozumianych jako sytuacyjne radzenie sobie ze stresem) przez matki, które poosiadają małe dzieci z niepełnosprawnością wzroku. Zastosowaną metodą badawczą był sondaż diagnostyczny z użyciem narzędzia, jakim był Wielowymiarowy Inwentarz do Pomiaru Radzenia Sobie ze Stresem COPE Ch.S. Carvera, M.F. Scheiera i J.W.
