الوصف: | Consumer is the name given to real or legal bodies who buy and consume commodities for their own needs without having intention to resale the product The consumer protection is the name given to the process which persuades the consumer to buy consciously and to use the purchased product consciously. Protection of consumer became one the most important subject of the law as long as the society changed to the consumption society. Especially, in last years, people have unnecessarily consumed more of good, even they don’t analyse and evaluate the qualification of goods and services, sufficiently. So, the consumers are pushed into the fast consumption chain. New consumption credits have been introduced and amount of these credits have been enlarged. Therefore, consumers even do not take the conditions of credit into the consideration when they purchase goods and sales. Advertisement methods have changed to give damage to the consumer’s conscious. Marketing methods also have been developed so as producer firms followed marketing policy as if they are monopoly. This also weakened the position of the consumers who are not well organized against the producers. In this unfair environment, protection of consumers became more importance The main theme of this article is the protection of consumers before setting the relationship/ contract between parties. The consumers should be well informed before the settlement of agreement. The standardization for the protection of consumers against unfair practices such as prices, advertisement, conditions of process should be evaluated in this framework. Although, there have been important changes in legal perspective by adaptation to EU’ acquis communautaire, especially, the act with date 06.03.2003 and with number 4822 provided necessary legal framework, it can not be argued that the consumers are well protected.
