HYDROGEL BASED MATERIAL DESIGN USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPROACH Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs as a result of the pancreas not producing enough insulin or not using it properly. Existing traditional applications used to deliver insulin to the body can cause allergic reactions, derin öğrenme temelli yapay zeka yaklaşımı kullanarak kontrollü ve düzenli insülin yüklemesine izin veren ve diyabet tedavisinde kullanılabilecek biyouyumlu süper emici hidrojel filmler geliştirmektir. Bu tez kapsamında, infections and pain in the patient and complicate the patient’s living conditions. Therefore, the main aim of this thesis is to develop biocompatible superabsorbent hydrogel films that allow controlled and regular insulin loading and can be used in diabetes treatment by using a deep learning-based artificial intelligence approach. In the scope of this thesis, pankreasın insülini yeterli miktarda üretememesi veya doğru bir şekilde kullanamaması sonucu ortaya çıkan kronik bir hastalıktır. İnsülini vücuda vermek için kullanılan mevcut geleneksel uygulamalar hastada alerjik reaksiyonlara, the proposed simple strategy to produce superabsorbent hydrogels is expected to accelerate progress in materials science, hidrojellerin içeriğindeki PEG ve CA bileşenlerinin ağırlık yüzdeleri değiştirilerek incelendi. Elde edilen sonuçlar, biocompatible superabsorbent hydrogel films containing carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) crosslinked with citric acid (CA) and modified with polyethylene glycol (PEG) were developed. Hydrogel films were prepared at room temperature using an environmentally friendly process. The effect of the degree of crosslinking on the morphological and physicochemical properties of the final product for the developed films was investigated by changing the weight percentages of the PEG and CA components in the hydrogels. The results showed that superabsorbent hydrogels (SAP) with swelling degrees of 100% to 5444% and insulin loading ratios of 10% to 100% were produced, şişme dereceleri %100 ile %5444 ve insülin yükleme oranı %10 ile %100 arasında değişen süper emici hidrojellerin (SAP) üretildiğini göstermiştir. Bu nedenle, sitrik asit (CA) ile çapraz bağlanmış ve polietilen glikol (PEG) ile modifiye edilmiş karboksimetil selüloz (CMC) içeren biyouyumlu süper emici hidrojel filmleri geliştirildi. Hidrojel filmler çevre dostu bir işlem kullanılarak oda sıcaklığında hazırlandı. Geliştirilen filmler için çapraz bağlanma derecesinin nihai ürünün morfolojik ve fizikokimyasal özellikleri üzerindeki etkisi, YAPAY ZEKA YAKLAŞIMI KULLANILARAK HİDROJEL TEMELLİ MALZEME TASARIMI Diyabet, sentezlenen hidrojel bileşimlerinin ağırlık yüzdeleri ve deneysel parametreler optimize edildi. Optimizasyon sürecini gerçekleştirmek için yeni bir yapay sinir ağı (YSA) modeli geliştirildi. Bu yaklaşımın sunduğu önemli iyileştirmelere odaklanılmıştır ve yeni malzeme sistemlerinin anlaşılmasını geliştirmek için deneysel modelleme ve tasarımın nasıl birleştirilebileceği gösterilmek istenmiştir. Önerilen modelin değerlendirme sonuçlarına (R2 = 0.9368) dayanarak, CA ve PEG’in ağırlık yüzdelerine bağlı olarak, depending on the weight percentages of CA and PEG. The weight percentages and experimental parameters of the synthesized hydrogel compositions were optimized to obtain the best results in swelling and insulin recovery tests. A new artificial neural network (ANN) model was developed to realize the optimization process. The focus is on the significant improvements this approach offers and it is intended to show how experimental modeling and design can be combined to improve understanding of new material systems.
